Built to be better, less expensive to use, and more comfortable than current big-rigs, the Semi Truck from Tesla seeks to enhance freight transport significantly. Its power source, placed underneath the cab, offers around 500 miles per charge, and efficiency beyond what any specific diesel rig can offer. Importantly, it can travel from 0-60 in just 20 secs with an entire, 80,000-lb load — the similar task takes one minute in a standard truck — and ascends 5% grades at a stable 65, 20 miles per hour quicker than its rivals. Its actual cab offers a central seat bounded by twin touchscreen screens, and Enhanced Autopilot functions provide semi-autonomous driving. Coming the coming year, and available for reservation at this point.
