Skulls help remind us that we are mere mortals and they’re the typical theme in “Memento mori” artwork which is Latin for “Remember that one could die”. It’s utilized not just in art but in literary writings too. The Australian firm, Jack Of The Dust, employed that idea to produce Spring Bonsai Mountain Skull or the Bonsai On Human Skull.
This artwork was created by designer Andrew Firth and it puts the skull into a fresh botanical perspective. Sculptures are hand-crafted and entirely synthetic. They’re produced from PVC plastic and molded from a genuine human skull.
