5 Best Robot Vacuums

February 7, 2015

When it was invented the humble vacuum cleaner was the height of labor saving devices, but today it has reached a whole new level. More and more versions of the robot vacuum are hitting the market and these self contained devices are a real help in our busy day-to-day lives.

1. Moneual RYDIS H68 Pro

This robot vacuum is considered one of the best on the market, specifically for cleaning hardwood floors. It comes with dry and wet mopping options and uses special cleaning pads to give you a gleaming hardwood surface. Its 6-ounce water reservoir is sufficient to keep the mop pads dampened. Like all other robot vacuums this device scans the floor for dirt and automatically deals with any messes it finds.

2. Ecovacs Deebot 77

The Deebot 77 is the answer to all your surface cleaning needs being as it can tackle hardwood, marble, tile and carpet, making it truly multipurpose. This device will run solo, which is of course what you want from a robot vacuum, but it also comes with some manual features as well. You see, normal robot vacs will only deal with the floor, but special attachments will allow you to clean walls and even furniture using the device.

3. iRobot Roomba 880

Roomba is pretty much known as the brand standard these days when it comes to robot vacs and this version is no exception. Designed to deal with dry cleaning, it will tackle all floors and has specialized hi-tech filters which really help deal with pet dander. Its ability to maintain a hypoallergenic atmosphere is a real benefit especially for families that have children with allergies.

4. Neato Botvac 85

This robo-vac really challenges Roomba in the pet hair cleaning market with its powerful suction, tough sweeping brushes and three internal filters. The Botvac uses laser guidance to map out its work area and then formulates the most effective cleaning patterns. This is an ideal choice for those looking to save a few bucks but still have a very competitive robot vacuum.

5. Dyson 360 EYE

Dyson’s long-awaited robot vacuum, the Dyson 360 Eye, touts several features that set it above other robot vacuums. For starters, it’s got different design that is a smaller and taller, the exact opposite of its competitors who have flat, flying saucer shapes. On top of the robot is a “panoramic lens” or the EYE that gives the vacuum a 360 degree vantage point of the entire room. What is really cool is the vacuum can be scheduled to clean via an iOS or Android mobile phone app.
