A group of retro video game fanatics in Uruguay have made a real-life model of a vintage video game. Producing this Real Life ATARI Pong Table wasn’t actually easy. It needed custom fabrication, electrical wiring, and coding. Nevertheless for their efforts, the group was able to come up with a revolutionized model of Pong, including the game’s rectangle-shaped white paddles coupled with a square ball.
Having no electronics, manufacturing design, or production expertise to lean back on, the team depended on their own skills and with the help of the internet. In the last two years, a team of craftsmen have united to incrementally develop on this Table Pong Project in their spare time and have ultimately reached a functioning prototype. Both the paddles and cubed ball move as if not connected to anything, while the surface area of the table offers the same simple black and white layout as the original game.
